Take 4 grams of dried Kratom leaves and crush into small pieces. Take the resulting powder and place it into near boiling hot water for about 45 minutes. A light boil is OK but higher temperatures will destroy some of the agents in the plant.

When taken orally, the effects of kratom can be felt about 30-60 minutes after ingestion, and the peak lasts 2-3 hours. When smoked, the effects start quicker and last about 60-90 minutes. Can cause nausea at high doses.
